What does this mean?

INFORMAL Mentors are those who offer mentoring on an informal basis to a small number of people and do not seek any remuneration for this ministry.

FORMAL Mentors are those who offer formal or vocational mentoring (perhaps as part of a role responsibility) in a structured way, usually with a written agreement, but do not receive any direct remuneration for this ministry. Professional indemnity insurance is recommended but not required for mentors in this category.

PROFESSIONAL Mentors are qualified mentors who offer formal, structured mentoring with written agreements and who receive remuneration for this ministry. Professional indemnity insurance is required for mentors in this category

Biographical Info
I have worked in the Christian ministry space for 27 years in various roles from school Chaplain to becoming the CEO of SMG in SA.
I have held leadership positions in the church and education sectors for over 20 years. Co-founder of Unlocking Your Calling which offers Mentoring, Retreats and Training especially for women.
